How to book the Life in the UK Test
GOV.UK is the only official government service for booking the Life in the UK Test. uktest.com does not book the test, does not run a test centre, and does not take payment for the official exam.
GOV.UK states the fee is £50 and that you should book at least 3 days in advance. There are over 30 test centres. ID rules and exemptions live on that page — read them there before you book.

GOV.UK prints the Life in the UK Test support contact as [email protected], 0800 015 4245, Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm. That is not uktest.com and we do not impersonate Pearson or the Home Office.

What ID do I need?+
GOV.UK lists acceptable ID on the booking page: an eVisa share code, or a valid passport; a valid ID card from the EU, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway; a valid photo travel document that is not an emergency document; or a BRP/BRC with the expiry rule printed on that page. Bring the same original ID you used to book — not a copy or screenshot. Do not treat a UK driving licence or an expired passport as listed ID unless GOV.UK itself lists them.
Does uktest.com book it?+
No. We only offer free practice.
If I fail?+
